FAU Mechanics and Electronics Workshop (MEW) designs and manufactures components and devices for research. Orders are mainly carried out for members of the FAU Faculty of Engineering, but other university members and cooperation partners can also utilize the services. The range of services includes the production of parts and equipment, 3D printing, geometric 3D measurements, automation of test benches, repair of electrical equipment and equipment rental. The central workshop also offers consulting and design, development and construction, sales of standard parts, semi-finished products, materials (metal, plastic, wood) and electronic components.
